Pay: £12.82 per hour or £83.85 per day

Are you passionate about supporting children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)? We are looking for a patient and adaptable SEN Support Assistant to work on a one-to-one basis with pupils in a Special school in Ebbw Vale.

This full-time role is perfect for someone with personal or professional experience in supporting individuals with ALN, even if you haven't worked in a school before.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing one-to-one assistance to pupils during lessons to help them stay engaged and comfortable.
• Supporting pupils with personal care tasks such as toileting or feeding when necessary.
• Implementing strategies to address and manage challenging behaviours effectively.
• Attending relevant training sessions to enhance your skills.
• Building strong, consistent relationships with pupils to support their progress and emotional well-being.

What We’re Looking For:

• Personal or professional experience in supporting individuals with ALN/SEN.
• A flexible and empathetic approach to adapting to pupils’ unique needs.
• A commitment to providing consistency and routine to help pupils thrive.
• An Enhanced DBS (we can assist with the application).
• Registration with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) (we can guide you through this process).
