1:1 Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 2 pupil with significant SEN needs within a mainstream Primary School in Weymouth.
Are you experienced working with vulnerable children, and are passionate about supporting the development and seeing real progression for pupils?
Whether you have experience within a school or care environment we would like to hear from you!
ROLE:
- Supporting year 2 pupil with 1:1 support within the classroom setting.
- Guiding pupil with learning through play and distraction techniques.
- Supporting the classroom teacher with intervention.
- Hours - Mon-Fri 8.30am-15.15pm each day.
What you need:
- Enhanced DBS certificate that is registered with the Update Service (TP can assist with this where needed)
- Experience working with pupils with significant SEN requirements.
- Knowlege and understanding of Autism and Global delay is ideal.
- Level 2 in Safeguarding children - (TP can offer a FREE course for this)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
