1:1 Teaching Assistant 

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a fantastic primary school based in Hackney, this double form entry primary school are currently looking for an experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a year 5 pupil with SEN. This position would be starting in October 2024.

The pupil in question has severe ASC needs and requires additional support throughout the school day, a background working with SEN, specifically ASC and SEMH would be hugely beneficial for this position.

What would you be doing:

- supporting the pupil on a 1:1 basis throughout the school day

- Monitoring behaviour 

- Supporting the pupil with classwork set out by the teacher 

- Monitoring progress of classwork 

- Supporting the class teacher with the daily running of the class

Requirements:

  •  Have experience working with primary school pupils on a 1:1 basis
  •  Experience working with KS1 or KS2 pupils
  •  Hold either a degree or a teaching assistant qualification
  •  Experience working with pupils with challenging behaviour
  •  Background in care
  •  Hold a valid up to date clean DBS check on the update service
  •  UK address and right to work 
  •  Level 3 TA qualifications

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
