Job description

Job Title: 1:1 SEN Specialist Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Tilbury

Job Type:

Temporary, Full-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Providing one-on-one educational support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Developing and implementing individualised learning plans based on students' needs
  • Assessing students' progress and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure students' academic success
  • Keeping detailed records of student progress and achievements

Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant teaching qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Knowledge of SEN educational strategies and interventions

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SEN support principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to tailor teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Good organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional qualifications in Special Education or related field
  • Experience in creating and delivering SEN-focused lesson plans

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily in a learners home setting
  • May require travel to different locations within the East of England
  • Full-time hours with occasional evening or weekend work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
