TP Tutors are currently seeking experienced teachers/tutors to provide English & Maths tuition throughout Ilkeston and the Derbyshire area. As a 1:1 tutor you will be planning and implementing lessons to children in care or pupils who are not currently in education.
We have seen an increase in tuition requests to support pupils in core subjects such as English and Maths where specialists would be beneficial to fulfil current demand. However, we do also cater to KS1 and KS2 pupils so welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
You are able to accept as much or as little work as you desire, and this role is ideal for those seeking flexibility.
To be successful you will need:
- Experience planning and delivering your own lesson plans
- Experience with primary or secondary aged children
- Enthusiastic, engaging and resilient
It is desirable if you:
- have experience working with children in a tuition capacity
- have experience working with challenging behaviour
- have a good understanding of Special Educational Needs or a willingness to learn

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
