POSITION: FULL-TIME SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS (SEN) 1:1 BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT ASSISTANTS

Teaching Personnel is currently working with one of our Partnership Schools and they are excited to share that they are seeking full-time Special Educational Needs (SEN) 1:1 Behaviour Support Assistant to join their expanding team.

We are looking for individuals with a strong understanding of SEN, based in or around the Bedford area.

As this role may require travelling to our Partnership School, applicants must have access to a car or reliable public transport. If you are based in surrounding areas, please refer to the bottom of this vacancy for commute times by car.

This is a full-time position, working from 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday during term time. We are currently accepting applications for an immediate start (January 2024) or for roles starting after a suitable notice period.

Relevant professional or personal experience in SEN is required for this role.

As a TA, your duties will include:

  • Providing support to pupils in various learning contexts, including the classroom, local environment, and community, to aid their learning, development, and progress across the curriculum.
  • Empowering and supporting pupils with a range of needs, such as PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism, to achieve their educational and personal goals.
  • Promoting equality, diversity, and the rights of our pupils to be treated with respect and seen as learners.
  • Placing emphasis on support and empowerment for our pupils.
  • Promoting a greater understanding of Special Education issues and upholding the values of the school.
  • Providing high-quality support in all aspects of the role.
  • Participating in physical intervention and personal care routines, if required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
