This is a full-time position starting in January and continuing until the end of the academic year, with the potential for the role to become permanent depending on performance.

About the Role:
As a Youth Worker, you will provide vital support to students, helping them overcome personal, social, and emotional challenges to thrive both academically and personally. You will work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and students to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment that encourages positive behavior, engagement, and resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster positive relationships with students, acting as a mentor and role model.
  • Support classroom activities by managing behavior and ensuring students remain engaged in their learning.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular updates to staff and contributing to support plans.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of extracurricular activities that promote teamwork, leadership, and self-confidence.
  • Work with families, external agencies, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support.

This role provides a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people, helping them navigate challenges and achieve their potential.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong and trusting relationships.
  • Be empathetic, patient, and proactive in addressing challenges faced by young people.
  • Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
  • Show a commitment to promoting inclusion, equality, and positive behavior.
  • Be available full-time from January through to the end of the academic year.

A background in youth work, counseling, social work, or education is highly desirable. Relevant qualifications, such as a degree in a related field or youth work certification, would be advantageous but are not essential.

What We Offer:

  • Weekly pay ranging from £419.25 to £500, facilitated by Teaching Personnel.
  • A supportive and welcoming school environment committed to professional development and student success.
  • The opportunity to work closely with a dedicated team to positively impact young people’s lives.
  • Potential for the role to become permanent based on performance and suitability.
