Job description

Are you an experienced primary teacher with a passion for making a difference in the crucial Year 6 transition? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to join a vibrant Stockport-based primary school in January. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of young learners and support them through an essential phase of their education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Year 6 curriculum.
  • Track and monitor student progress, providing tailored support to meet individual needs.
  • Prepare students for SATs, ensuring they reach their full academic potential.
  • Foster a positive learning environment, managing classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and the community to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in a UK primary school, ideally with Year 6 experience.
  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, particularly in preparing for SATs.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire confidence and motivation in students.
  • Passionate about promoting a nurturing, supportive environment for children’s learning and growth.
  • Available full-time

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
