Job Title: Year 2 Class Teacher

Location: BS10 (Bristol)

Contract: Full Time, Immediate Start (until the end of the academic year)

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

 

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Class Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive primary school in the BS10 area, for an immediate start. This is a full-time teaching role, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of young learners. The position is temporary, running until the end of the current academic year, with the potential for future opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

-          Deliver engaging and effective lessons to Year 2 students, covering the full primary curriculum.

-          Create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.

-          Develop and implement creative learning activities that cater to diverse learning styles.

-          Assess, track, and report on students' progress, providing feedback to parents and colleagues.

-          Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other school staff.

-          Support children in reaching their full potential academically and socially.

-          Ensure the well-being and safety of students in your care.

Skills and Qualifications:

-          QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential.

-          Previous experience teaching in Year 2 (or within Key Stage 1) is highly desirable.

-          Excellent classroom management skills and a proactive approach to teaching.

-          Strong communication skills, both with children and colleagues.

-          A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

-          Enthusiastic, flexible, and able to work well within a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
