Textiles Teacher

Position: Full-time, Maternity Cover
Start Date: December 2024
End Date: May 2025
Salary: £160 - £250 per day

In partnership with Teaching Personnel, our outstanding rated partner secondary school is seeking a talented and passionate Textiles Teacher to join our team for a maternity cover position from December 2024 to May 2025.

We are looking for a dynamic educator who is committed to inspiring students and delivering high-quality lessons in Textiles, helping to nurture creativity and skill development in a supportive and inclusive environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with enthusiastic students across Key Stage 3 and 4, providing a comprehensive and engaging curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and creative textiles lessons to students in Key Stage 3 and 4
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the textiles curriculum
• Support students' personal development and well-being
• Prepare and maintain resources and equipment for lessons

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold a relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
• Have a passion for textiles and a strong knowledge of the subject
• Demonstrate effective teaching methods and classroom management skills
• Be a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
• Have experience teaching Textiles at Key Stage 3 and 4 (desirable)
