Temporary Science Teacher

Teaching Personnel work in partnership with an 11-16 coeducational secondary school. The school is graded ‘GOOD’ by Ofsted and is well-regarded for its commitment to academic excellence and fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment. Located in Waterlooville, the school is easily accessible by car and public transport, with excellent connections to the surrounding area.

The school is seeking a temporary Science Teacher to join their team and support the Science department during a period of staff absence. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and qualified teacher to inspire students and deliver high-quality Science lessons.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will be:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential to meet the requirements of the role.
• Experienced in Teaching Science: Confident delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Passionate About Science Education: Committed to inspiring students and fostering a love for learning within the subject.
• Adaptable and Reliable: Able to step into a temporary role and deliver lessons in line with the school’s curriculum.
• Effective in Behaviour Management: Skilled at maintaining a calm and productive classroom environment.
• An Excellent Communicator: Able to build positive relationships with students, staff, and school leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and inspiring Science lessons using pre-planned resources or curriculum material provided by the school.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment, promoting the school’s behaviour policy.
• Monitor and support students’ progress during the assignment, ensuring all students are on task.
• Liaise with the Science department and school leadership to ensure consistency in teaching and learning.
