SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time) – Barnstaple

Salary: £90 - £95 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time, Temp to Perm

Teaching Personnel is looking for a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in Barnstaple. This full-time role could lead to a permanent position and gives you the chance to support students with special educational needs (SEN) and make a positive impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and group support to students with SEN, including autism and ADHD.
  • Help develop and follow Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Support students with behaviour, emotions, and social skills.
  • Work with teachers and the SENCO to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with classroom activities to keep students engaged and progressing.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience with SEN students is a plus, but not required.
  • Patience, flexibility, and understanding in challenging situations.
  • A strong passion for helping students succeed.
