Job Title: SEN Care Worker
Location: Birmingham, Harborne.
Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for compassionate and dedicated SEN Care Workers to join our team and provide exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored care and support for children and young people with SEN, including those with autism, learning disabilities, and physical disabilities.
- Assist with personal care, daily activities, and mobility as required.
- Foster a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment to promote independence and well-being.
- Work collaboratively with families, educators, and other professionals to implement care and education plans.
- Monitor and document progress, ensuring the needs of each individual are met with patience and empathy.
- Support with behavior management, using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage development and confidence.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred but not essential).
- Relevant qualifications in care or education (e.g., Care Certificate, Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- A caring, empathetic, and patient attitude.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, if required.
- A valid driver’s license (desirable but not essential).
- Enhanced DBS check (required).
