Job Description:

We are seeking a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tutor to join our team in Merton, Greater London. As an SEN Tutor, you will be responsible for providing tailored support and assistance to students with special educational needs. Your primary focus will be on delivering individualised teaching sessions to help students overcome learning challenges and reach their full potential. This role requires a compassionate and patient approach, along with a strong understanding of SEN practises and strategies.

Job Duties:

• Deliver personalised tutoring sessions to students with special educational needs
• Create and implement individualised learning plans based on students' strengths and challenges
• Assess students' progress and adjust teaching techniques accordingly
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' learning goals
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements

Required Qualifications:

• Experience working with students with special educational needs
• Knowledge of SEN practises and interventions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs

Education:

Relevant qualification in Education or Special Educational Needs

Experience:

Prior experience working as an SEN Tutor or in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of different learning styles and abilities
• Ability to create engaging and effective learning materials
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Empathy and patience when working with students

Working Conditions:

This role is based in a school setting in Merton, Greater London. The position is part-time, with hours varying based on student needs and scheduling. The environment may involve working one-on-one with students or in small group settings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
