This school are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher of Science to join their thriving team on a full-time basis starting in January. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), this role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your teaching practice in a welcoming and progressive setting.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a qualified teacher with QTS or an ECT.
- Have a strong passion for Science and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
- Be enthusiastic and approachable, creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Be committed to fostering curiosity and a love for learning among students.
- Have excellent organisational and communication skills to effectively plan and deliver lessons.
As a Teacher of Science, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students, fostering a love for Science.
- Teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring lessons meet the requirements of the national curriculum.
- Differentiating lessons to accommodate the needs of all students, including those with SEND and high achievers.
- Encouraging students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills through engaging practical and theoretical lessons.
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Preparing students for GCSE Science examinations, equipping them with the skills and knowledge required for success.
- Collaborating with the Science department to plan and enhance the curriculum.
- Supporting students’ wider development through extracurricular activities and enrichment programs.
- Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and fostering a positive and respectful classroom culture.
- Communicating effectively with parents and carers to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
