We have immediate start referrals for tutors able to provide face to face tuition for vulnerable pupils in Derbyshire the surrounding areas. We are looking for a tutor who can support for a minimum of 10 hours per week (flexible) with a view to increase if needed.

As a 1:1 tutor you will need to plan, develop and provide individualised programmes for students.

The ideal candidate for this will be:

  • Tutor experienced working students with SEMH challenges
  • Able to implement baseline assessments to assess where the student is currently working at
  • Confident to work professionally with residential staff, Social Workers and other Local Authority professionals
  • Able to deliver engaging, innovative lessons to help keep students engaged in their education
  • Able to offer emotional support to vulnerable children where required, acting as a positive role model
  • Committed to the education of this vulnerable young person.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
