Job Title: English and Maths KS3 SEN Tutor
Location: East of England, Essex, Chelmsford
Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time
Primary Industry: Education and Training
Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour
Job Duties:
- Deliver high-quality English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Create individualised lesson plans to cater to the specific learning requirements of each student
- Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Provide regular feedback to students and their parents/guardians on academic performance
- Collaborate with other educators and support staff to ensure a comprehensive approach to student learning
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Specialist knowledge in teaching English and Maths to students with SEN
- Experience working with Key Stage 3 students
Education:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in teaching English and Maths to students with SEN
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching techniques to meet the diverse needs of students
- Proficiency in creating engaging and effective lesson plans
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications in SEN teaching or related areas
- Experience in using assistive technology in the classroom
Working Conditions:
- Part-time hours with flexibility in scheduling
- Work primarily in an educational setting (local library, school or learners home)
- Potential for remote tutoring sessions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
