Job description

Job Title: English Tutor

Temporary, Part-Time hours

Salary:

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored English tutoring sessions to students
  • Create engaging and interactive lesson plans
  • Assess students' English language proficiency and progress
  • Develop individualised learning strategies to meet students' needs
  • Provide feedback to students to enhance their English language skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an English Tutor
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students of different abilities
  • SEN (Special Educational Needs) experience

Education:

Bachelor's degree in English or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring English language

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Understanding of language learning principles
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students
  • Organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE)
  • Experience working with diverse student populations

Working Conditions:

The English Tutor position is based in Southwark, Greater London. The role involves part-time hours on a temporary basis. The tutor will work closely with students to improve their English language skills, adapting teaching methods to suit individual needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
