The school are seeking an English teacher to start in January on a full-time basis for half a term which is likely to go on until Easter. The role involves teaching a range of engaging English lessons to Key Stage 3 pupils and delivering high-quality instruction to a Year 10 class. You will be responsible for:
- Planning and Preparation: Creating well-structured and engaging lesson plans aligned with the curriculum.
- Classroom Teaching: Delivering inspiring and interactive lessons tailored to the needs of the students.
- Assessment and Marking: Assessing pupils’ work, providing constructive feedback, and supporting their progress.
- Classroom Management: Maintaining a positive and focused learning environment to ensure students are motivated and achieving their best.
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): This is essential for the position.
- Subject Knowledge: A strong understanding of the English curriculum at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Teaching Experience: Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
- Commitment: A dedication to providing an engaging and enriching learning experience for all pupils.
- Organisational Skills: The ability to manage planning, teaching, and marking efficiently.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
