Job description

In-Person Tutor – Maths and English (GCSE Level)

Are you passionate about education and dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential? We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable tutor to support students in Maths and English at GCSE level. This role offers the chance to work in-person with students, providing tailored support to enhance their learning and confidence.

About the Role

As a GCSE Maths and English Tutor, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, one-on-one, or small group tuition sessions to GCSE-level students.
  • Tailor lessons to meet the individual needs of students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their targets.
  • Reinforce curriculum content, focusing on key areas like problem-solving, essay writing, and exam techniques.
  • Build strong relationships with students, instilling confidence and a love for learning.
  • Monitor and report progress to ensure consistent development.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong subject knowledge in both Maths and English, up to GCSE level.
  • Experience tutoring or teaching students in a one-on-one or small group setting.
  • A teaching qualification (such as QTS) is preferred, but relevant tutoring experience will also be considered.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to student success.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
