Role: Business Studies Teacher
Area: Essex
Start: January 2025
Contract: Fulltime, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS, Dependent on experience with potential TLR

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a thriving and improving secondary school in Essex, which is part of a highly reputable Multi-Academy Trust (MAT). The school is seeking a dynamic, passionate, and innovative Teacher of Business Studies to become a key part of its permanent teaching team from January 2025.

About the Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5, inspiring students to achieve their best in Business Studies.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the department, driving forward progress and innovation in teaching and learning.
  • Take on leadership responsibilities associated with the TLR, including curriculum development, mentoring, or leading key projects within the department.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain and enhance the school’s high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Have a strong academic background and a degree in a relevant subject area.
  • Demonstrate successful teaching experience in Business Studies, ideally at both Key Stage 4 and 5.
  • Have the ability to inspire and motivate students, fostering a love of learning.
  • Show evidence of leadership experience or potential, with the ability to take initiative and drive positive change.
  • Be committed to their own professional development and to supporting the development of colleagues.
  • Embrace the values of the MAT and demonstrate a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
