Are you passionate about making a positive impact on young people’s lives? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a vibrant school in the Vale of Glamorgan. This rewarding role involves supporting students who require additional guidance to overcome behavioural challenges, helping them to achieve their full potential in a supportive and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with behavioural needs.
  • Implementing tailored strategies to improve students’ engagement and behaviour.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to create a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Building trusting relationships with students to foster personal development and self-confidence.
  • Supporting the school’s behaviour management policies and promoting positive behaviour.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational, care, or support setting (desirable but not essential).
  • A compassionate and patient approach to working with students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Willingness to undergo a DBS check (Teaching Personnel can assist with this process).
  • Registraion to the EWC

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
