Attendance Officer - Urgently Needed!

Leeds, West Yorkshire

The school's mission is to ensure every student achieves their full potential, and are looking for a dedicated Attendance Officer to join their team and help us achieve this goal.

As an Attendance Officer, you will play a crucial role in promoting excellent attendance and punctuality among students. You will work closely with students, parents, and staff to identify and address attendance issues, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily attendance and punctuality of students.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and produce regular reports.
  • Liaise with parents and carers to address attendance concerns.
  • Work with teachers and support staff to identify students at risk of poor attendance.
  • Implement strategies to improve attendance and reduce persistent absenteeism.
  • Attend meetings and provide updates on attendance matters.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and legal requirements regarding attendance.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software for record-keeping and reporting.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
